“I lost my father when I was very young, and my two older brothers moved away after they got married and stopped supporting us. My mother is too old to work, and we are only supported by the meager income of my oldest brother. I was lucky enough to come across a leaflet advertising Muslim Aid and ROTA’s vocational training program at the Muslim Aid Institute of Technology (MAIT). After a quick interview, I was admitted into the electrical trade program. After three months, I was qualified to work in the trade, and began taking sub-contracting work, earning more money to help my family. In the future, I want to start my own help center for electrical maintenance and repairs. I could not have done this without ROTA and Muslim Aid’s help.” Salamat Ullah, Noakhali, Cox’s Bazaar
